Why subscribe?

I’m McClain Baxley and if you’re a fan of Georgia Southern basketball, surely this isn’t the first time you’re reading my work. Between The Savannah Morning News and The George-Anne, I’ve had the privilege of covering men’s and women’s basketball pretty consistently since the 2017-18 season.

With Anita Howard in her second season as head coach of the women’s team and Brian Burg leading an overhaul of the men’s team, I wanted to deliver the coverage of these teams that the programs deserve. All of my duties with the Savannah Morning News covering GS football and news will continue, but for in-depth game analysis this is the place to be. 

I plan to tell the stories that matter, going beyond the box score and highlight reels. These players, coaches and programs are full of stories that otherwise would go untold.
